Mother and Me
I thank God for making her my mother,
As nothing is more perfect than her.
She wakes me up like a fairy,
Oh, thank you, Mom, for all the yummy dairy.
“Hurry up! Don’t be late for school.
Have a good day, and don’t be a fool.”
“Hey, Mother, I got grades!”
Oh, thank you, Mom, for the lovely trade.
Let’s go for a swim and hit the gym,
Or go hopping and shopping,
Or watch a movie and do some popping.
Oh, thank you, Mom, for all these toppings.
“Come on, it’s bedtime, doll.
Listen to a story and have a sweet nap.
Don’t forget there is a new day to begin.”
Oh, thank you, Mom, for fulfilling my dream.
