Midnight Claps 2 : Eerie Feeling

Recap:

I decided to share a scary story from when I was fifteen. One stormy night, I was home alone because my parents had to go out. It started raining heavily, and then the electricity went out, making the house feel even creepier. I lit some candles and tried to calm down, but then I heard a whisper calling my name, “Yana,” and a loud clap behind me. Scared, I checked the house but found nothing.

Later, I ate some biscuits, but something strange happened — the numbers didn’t add up. My dog Bruno started barking, and I heard another loud clap. Feeling really frightened, I decided to go back to my room. As I walked, I felt something cold grab my shoulder, like an icy hand. Panicking, I ran to my room, slammed the door shut, and stayed there, too scared to move.

The next morning, my parents came back, and I felt relieved. They said we were moving to a new house soon, and I hoped the strange things would stop. But now, in the backyard of our new house, I see someone waving at me.

To be continued…

I saw someone waving at me from a distance. My heart skipped a beat, and I began walking toward the place slowly, unsure of what would happen. With each step, a sense of fear crept in, making my movements hesitant. The closer I got, the more anxious I felt, as if something was off. When I finally reached the spot, I looked around and realised… no one was there. The person I thought I saw had vanished, leaving only an empty space.

Confused and a little shaken, I turned back. Trying to shake off the unease, I headed back to the swing I had been sitting on earlier. As I sat down, I started to swing again, letting the movement calm my nerves. The air felt cooler now, and I focused on the rhythm of the swing, pushing away the eerie feeling that had settled in moments before.
