Mukherjee were some of the key individuals who drafted the Indian Constitution.

Republic day is considered important as it marks a new chapter in the history of India as a county. On this day the country began to be governed by its own laws , have its own presidential body and its own rules and regulations. This day made Indians have a say in the world affairs by their true opinions and were now not overruled by any country making India a Republic.
