My Community

I live in a well-known society called “SSVR Lotus Pond”. I have been living in this society for the past 7 years and am sure to continue. I have been attached to all my friends in my journey with this apartment.

But once my best friend Paridhi announced that she would move out of my apartment. My friends and I were dumbstruck, and we had been hugging each other for about two continuous hours and wailing. But then we calmed each other as we knew life was about abrogating old things and hugging new ones. We bid her goodbye with a heavy heart. We printed her pictures and made an album with memories. Once, when I was about to hit the sack, I started recollecting my nostalgic memories. I remembered how my friends celebrated my surprise birthday. So, once they didn’t call me downstairs, their parents informed them that they had already gone to the clubhouse when I went to their house. I felt very sad and decided to argue with them, but to my surprise, they ignored me, which continued for a week. I kept crying and thought my friends didn’t include me in the group anymore. But on the other side, my friends were planning to surprise me on my birthday. I kept thinking about my friends and suddenly heard a bell ring. My friends, Kavya and Gayatri, said they wanted to talk with me.

I was trembling as I thought they wanted to remove me from the group. They covered my eyes and took me to the clubhouse and “Wow!” all my friends jumped out with ‘Happy Birthday Card’.I ran towards all of them and hugged them. They had brought snacks and cake for me. I got gifts and eight cards. My eyes were filled with tears. I never thought that my friends had been making my birthday plans all this time. My calmed me down, and just then, my mom called me out, and I realised I was lost in my previous memory. I got up with the fresh idea just to know it was 1 AM. I eagerly waited till 8:00 and ran to my ‘friends meet area.’ I called each of them. I planned to surprise Paridhi on her birthday, and my dream of giving her the same birthday treat came true. She was happy, and I was too. All my friends thanked me for giving me the idea. This was the best page in my diary, and I will never forget it.
