My Friends for Life

The day I moved into this apartment, I thought I wouldn’t make many friends because I didn’t know English. But after a few days, I started playing and bonding with my neighbors, who were my age, and I made new friends. Their names were Kirtan, Arjun, and Gayathri. Slowly, as I grew up, I made more friends.

became interested in playing games such as catch-catch, hide-and-seek, and other outdoor activities in the park, where I met even more friends—Paridhi, Nitika, Dhyanesh, Soujanya, and many others. They are very good friends who helped me with my studies when I was struggling and took care of me when I got hurt.

I remember one day when my friends and I were playing in the park. I was running very fast when I slipped and hit the merry-go-round, getting hurt badly. My friend Nitika brought water for me, while my friend Dhyanesh was worried about returning the glass of water to where Nitika got it from. There are many such incidents that show their kindness.

When I was nine years old, I became interested in basketball after watching the older kids play so well. Now, basketball is my hobby, and I am improving day by day. I hope to stay in this apartment forever with my friends, even though I know that won’t be possible. When the time comes for me to leave, I will miss my friends dearly and will always keep in touch with them
