The Hero Part 6 – Found
Meeting Best Friend
Aarav was so sad and remembered his missing friend from last time, but it felt like one year had passed. He had not seen Arpit yet, as he was standing behind the tree with Amrita. Arpit had decided to have a little fun.
“Hello, my dear friend.” He said it from behind the tree.
Aarav did not take it seriously and whispered, “My brain is not stable; it is making me a fool.”
“It’s not your brain; it is your… making such voices!” he said.
No…, Aarav stands and looks in all directions once to assure himself that he’s not going mad; somebody is really with him, and he notices sound of footsteps, but he does not find anyone. He decided to check at the back of the tree; he goes there, but there is no one.
Arpit and Amrita had climbed up the tree and were sitting on a branch. Aarav looked up at the tree as branch at the top shook slightly, but there was nothing there now. They had already come down. Arpit and Amrita were standing behind Aarav. Arpit was playing a game with him for a few minutes now.
Finally, Arpit stopped and said, “I am back, my best friend!”
Aarav turned around and was surprised. In the next second, his eyes filled with tears that rolled down his cheeks, but he was nor crying ,yet. He hugged Arpit and started crying. “Where were you from these many days?” He asked.
“Hi, I was missing for only one day!” Arpit replied.
“But where were you?”
“Err… A good person kidnapped me!”
“Are you mad at the impact on your brain by the kidnapper?”
Aarav noticed that Arpit was standing on both his legs frequently without support; he was surprised and happy.
“So it’s true; explain everything to me.” He said.
They sat under the tree’s shadow, and Arpit explained everything to Aarav.
“Shall we go out to enjoy the day?” said Arpit.
Aarav thought for a while and said, “Yes! Let’s go!”
“Yes! It will be so much fun!” Amrita said, standing up and coming back.
Who is she? Was she here the whole time?” asked Aarav
“She is Amrita, one of the new friends.” He replied.
“Am I transparent? Whenever a new person sees him, he asks the same question!” she growled.
“Forgot it; we will go to the mall nearby,” Arpit said, changing the topic.
The Mall
They were ready to go to the mall, but the main gate was closed, and the security guard was sleeping. Then, they decided to jump from the compound wall and managed to get out successfully. They walked to the mall and started wondering that there were so many shops of hardware, clothes, mobiles, food corners and many more things, and it was the most fantastic mall in the area.
They explored for a while and found a game centre there; they found it after nearly fifteen minutes. They start playing games such as shouting balloons, table tennis, cricket with the robot ball thrower, table hockey and many more. Even Amrita also enjoyed it there. They had thoroughly enjoyed the parlour for nearly three hours.
Now it was evening; they had come out of the mall as they didn’t have much money to spend in the mall. They had come to the local market near a police station, saw an ice cream stall, and bought ice cream. Arpit bought a butterscotch flavour, Aarav bought a chocolate flavour, and Amrita purchased a raspberry flavour.
Some policemen were standing outside the station; one was holding a photo in his hand.
“This boy has been missing for a day from the orphanage nearby,” he said.
Sir, I think he’s right here,” another one said, pointing at the boy eating ice cream.
Meeting Mr Gupta
They saw Arpit at the stall and compared it with the photo given to them by Mr Gupta. “It is the same kid; get him,” the officer holding the photo said.
Arpit and his friends were supposed to leave the stall, but the policeman got him and brought him to the police station. Aarav and Amrita follow the man and stand outside of the police station. The officer calls Mr. Gupta and asks him to take him to the station.
One of the policemen noticed Aarav and said, “You are the boy with Mr. Gupta.” That day, right?” Aarav nodded his head. The policeman takes him in and tells the man he was also with him in the stall.
“So you have come to register the complaint and are only with him! Nice today, teenagers are so intelligent!” the officer said, clapping for Aarav.
Mr Gupta had reached the station and was so happy to see Arpit there but also a little worried watching Aarav there. He completed all the formalities and took all the children from there, even Amrita. The police officer told Mr Gupta that Aarav was also with him. They reached at the orphanage and entered Mr. Gupta’s office.
“So tell me everything; what had happened? Where were you? Why was Aarav with you? And who is this girl?”
Arpit told Mr. Gupta everything the truth.
The Beginning
Okay! Don’t tell anyone about your powers now,” said Mr. Gupta. “I received a call from Dr. Vishak before the police contacted me. He told me everything—but I want to hear it from you, my good boy. Stay here tonight, and in the morning, go to your destination. Achieve your goals and use your power to help others.
Mr. Gupta’s words had reached his heart, and a fire was within him. His life’s goal had become to help people.
This was just a teaser of Arpit’s life; the whole story remained; the gangster leader had news that Arpit was alive. Also, the company’s board members learned that Arpit was alive. Dr. Vishak is doing some experiments to keep Arpit safe.
This is just the beginning.
