Nature: A Captivating Phenomenon I Essay By Chetana, 13, Hyderabad

Finding The Unknown

Drowned deep down in the ocean,

The ocean of thoughts, past, present and future.

There’s a ship in the ocean, led by someone,

That “someone” is me heading towards a place.

The ship starts slowly moving ahead.

The map says past, I take the turn towards past.

Remembering all the trauma and getting nostalgia.

Getting ahead of the past, trying to move on.

The next turn says present; and there I go.

The suffering and pain of the present,

Is merely hard but thriving hard for it to pass,

With every crashing wave, I hold tight to the mask.

Then comes a fog—the unknown, the future.

No map, no guide, just hope as my anchor.

Fear grips me, yet so does the thrill,

Of carving paths where time stands still.

Yes, I’m alone but not lonely!

The voyage is mine; the captain is me.

I have the control of it, it might seem tough.

But deep in the silence I found I’m strong.

Sitting alone is an opportunity,

To bless yourself with dignity.

Reflect upon oneself; finding the answer to unknown.

Figuring out the question that once troubled you.

The peace of being alone, calm and quietness.

Enjoying the solitude; accompanying yourself,

Treating yourself the best way possible,

Cause girl you matter- if not to the world,

But for someone who was always there ‘YOU’.
