Fate I Poem By Pranavi,12,Kalimpong

Fate

Years go by, months go by

But whenever I think of this class

It never fails me to try.

When I first came, it was all just the same

Hoping for only one aim.

Every time at the playground, I heard the ball dribble

It always used to make me shrivel;

Like the thrown-out pebbles

In the spacious sky where the stars twinkle.

This was because I was very shy.

Things were there that I couldn’t even say mine

I was hurt but I always used to say I was fine because

The people whom I trusted left me far behind.

There was a friend whom I blindly trusted

But actually, I was the one who made the mistake.

Then I met four friends who were very reliable

Whenever I used to call them, they were always available.

We were once a group of ten but now we are four

Three more friends joined to open up the door

The only person that I can rely on is myself

But when I come around people it makes me look like an elf

Just like a lonely book in a library full of shelves.
