Fable of Kindness

Sent and Fent were an odd pair of friends—Sent, a humble worm, possessed kindness and helpfulness, whereas Fent was a lazy, rude frog often exploiting Sent’s good nature. Despite Fent’s demands, Sent dutifully followed, silently  concerned about Fent’s future due to his rude nature.

One day, a knock on Sent’s door signaled an unexpected turn of events. Fent, surprisingly, invited Sent for a ride to the forest. Excitedly agreeing, they embarked on a scenic journey through beautiful landscapes. “What lovely flowers are here,” marveled Fent.

Upon reaching the forest, they encountered an injured snail. Quick to act, Sent rushed to help. To everyone’s surprise, the injured snail transformed into a beautiful fairy, expressing gratitude to Sent.

Grateful but without personal wishes, Sent seized the opportunity to ask the fairy for a favor. He wished for Fent to become a helpful and kind frog. The fairy, conveying a valuable lesson, explained to Fent that kindness would garner appreciation, while rudeness would lead to isolation.

Accepting the fairy’s advice, Fent vowed to change his ways. “From today, I will be helpful and be a good frog,” declared Fent.

The fairy then smiled and vanished. From that day onwards, Fent was always helpful and kind, mirroring the virtues of his steadfast friend, Sent.

Moral: It’s crucial to embrace kindness and helpfulness, otherwise, you might find yourself on a path where no one will be there to lend a helping hand.
