Eagle's lament on pollution of the high skies I Poem By Faith

Eagle’s lament on pollution of the high skies

I am the sentinel of boundless flight

Cloaked in feathers kissed by light.

Born to soar through azure seas,

Where thunder hum and humans cease.

The clouds have turned thick and grey,

My wings know tremble as skies decay.

The breath of air is pure no more.

A choking haze the winds now store.

My heart torn, bruised and forlorn,

For a home once pure, is now worn.

The grave hums a lullaby,

For the birds that bid their last goodbye.

But still,

I rise but not with pride’

I scream where purity once lied.

 Hear me, humans below,

The sky we shared will cease to glow,

Unless you mend the tears you make

And let the heavens breathe awake
