In “Dancing Flowers,” Jishnutha beautifully captures how flowers do more than just bloom, they dance with the wind, whisper untold stories of joy and resilience.

Dancing Flowers

Flowers, flowers in a vibrant hue,

One for me and another for you.

Spinning and twirling along with the breeze,

Just a glimpse puts my heart at ease.

Oh Flower! What does your sprightly dance mean?

Various emotions mostly unseen,

Only the purest hearts can unravel the concealed.

And understand the power you silently wield,

Bursting through the trees in oranges and red,

You show the war’s cruel bloodshed.

The lost lives in Operation Sindoor,

Soldiers dead in warfields untamed as the moor.

You dance in solace for the families in sorrow,

Your silence is their only hope for tomorrow.

You quietly witness, thoughts several which you want to say,

Flowers, I understand what you are trying to convey.

Hope, joy and happiness is April’s revival,

A long vacation is everyone’s renewal.

Flowers, I know you are jolly in blue and yellow,

Because the weather is all merry and mellow.

Waving to passengers going in trains,

Leaping in joy during the mango rains.

Oh Flowers! Dressed in yellow and blue,

Very excited surely are you.

Bouncing and chattering with merry,

Feels like you’re going to a tea party in this finery.

Wearing odd headgears and looking cool,

Sounds like you are attending an assembly in your school.

Morning, as a choir you all sing,

Thank you! Sun for the endless energy throughout the spring.

Your graceful moves gives a smile in our face,

And brings us a break from the rat race.

Pleasant pinks and violets you are,

You are striking near and far.

Growing from a cement crack in a bustling street,

Conspicuous to everyone who are truly a feat,

Baskets of joy for everyone who hold,

The awe we feel on you is a sight to behold.

Your gaze is enough to make a person’s day,

You are a passing gift priceless to a person journeying a long way.

Oh Flower, I’m jealous. You are a beauty in day & stunning in night,

Your intricacy is marveled in the peaceful moonlight.

You are poised like a dancer in a stance,

Not even Cleopatra would stand a chance.

The palest white like the Arctic snow,

Your humble gaze is enough for a king to bow.

Flower! You are as regal as a queen,

You don’t care about the evil eyes who have seen.

Unfurling your petals like a bird taking flight,

Your aroma is enough to sweep all the butterflies to your sight.

You are the inspiration for being brave,

Your courage is the light in the deepest cave.

Dancing flowers is nature’s gift,

A somber person’s motivational lift.

Flowers, flowers in a vibrant hue,

One for me and another for you.

Spinning and twirling along with the breeze,

Just a glimpse of you puts my heart at ease.
