Chess

Chess is not really a sport I’m good at, but that doesn’t mean that it is a sport I’m not going to try.

Self Discovery

I used to go to chess classes when I was around 8 or 9 and to be honest… I wasn’t good at all (even for a newbie) but recently I started playing chess all over again with my friends, and because of watching them play chess a lot, I eventually became intrigued up to an extent that I finally decided to join my friends to play chess once again and oh boy… I was way better than I had ever imagined myself to be!

ELO

I beat a friend of mine who had a pretty good ELO in chess.com or something (I have never used chess.com in my entire life) although my friend actually forfeited and I didn’t really win, then I beat another friend even though I lost my Queen pretty early on in a foolish fashion, and seeing this I quickly realized that I may have more potential in chess now then I may have ever had before.

Chess makes me happy.

As I think back to the time when I almost gave up playing, I am glad I gave it another shot. Chess makes me happy.
