IPL & Dhoni- Coming together of my two favourites
20-20
On 13 September 2007, the BCCI announced the launch of a franchise-based Twenty 20 cricket competition called Indian Premier League. It was said to be the mastermind of Lalit Modi. The league is based on a round-robin group and knockout format.
IPL has teams named after major Indian cities. The matches generally begin in late afternoon or evening so that a part of the match is played under floodlights at night. There are 8 teams.
IPL
I like IPL because many more people get to play cricket. The best bowler in IPL history is Lasith Malinga. The best batsman in IPL history is AB de Villeirs. The player to score the most runs is Virat Kohli with 5412 following by SK Raina with 5368 runs and RG Sharma with 4898.
According to me, the best captain is MS Dhoni because he won 100 matches as a captain which no other captain achieved. He is also the best keeper in IPL history with 132 dismissals (94 catches and 28 stumpings). He is also the record holder for the biggest six in IPL history, covering a distance of 111m!
Mumbai Indians is the Best
Mumbai Indians is considered the best IPL team by many.
I am supporting Chennai Super Kings because their captain MS Dhoni is a very good keeper and can run out many batsmen. Also there are other very good players in CSK.
Now because of the pandemic, the matches which were supposed to be played in India are now being played in Dubai because the Indian government has not given permission.
MS Dhoni
My favourite player is MS Dhoni because he is the best captain and keeper! Also Virat Kohli because he scored the most runs in the IPL.
