Bubun and the Kidnapped Child

It was a Sunday morning like every day, Bubun woke up and was reading the morning newspaper. His eyes stared at a headline about a child theft incident in his locality. He was unaware of it as he was too busy in the last couple of weeks for his class-VII, PT-1 examination. He asked his father about the news. His father informed him, the family is known to him, and he went to their house yesterday but did not inform Bubun due to his examination.

Bubun went out after his breakfast to play with his friends. Bubun asked about the incident to his friends and came to know that the incident happened at Mr. Roy’s house, just the neighbouring house of his friend Saikat. Out of his curiosity, Bubun asked Saikat about the incident. Saikat explained that the boy was playing in the yard when a man wearing a mask approached and offered the little boy a candy. After that, the boy went with the man. His father, Mr. Roy, had already lodged an FIR. Bubun was a little disappointed after hearing all these and asked Saikat whether he could meet with the kid’s parents in the evening with Saikat. Saikat was ready to go with Bubun. Bubun told the same to his parents during lunchtime.

A Plan to Catch the Kidnappers

In the evening, Bubun went to Mr. Roy’s house, and the OC of the police station was present there. The police officer, Mr. Das, knew Bubun. Bubun learned from them that Mr. Roy has already received a ransom call from the kidnappers and they are ready to give the money, but they are not sure whether they will also get back their child or not. The local police were clueless. Bubun expressed his interest in going with Mr. Roy to give the money to the kidnappers. On the OC’s request, Mr. Roy agreed to take Bubun along with him. They were waiting in front of the Municipality dump yard at 7 pm.

The First Chase

 

The kidnappers were very clever; they instructed Mr. Roy to place the money near a disposal bin. Bubun and the police in disguise kept an eye on the bag. After a few minutes, a man came and took the bag. Bubun and the other officers followed him. After a moment, the kidnapper started to run. Bubun followed him on his bicycle; somehow, he was just able to catch the guy. Suddenly, a bike came and took the bag and disappeared. On interrogation, the man said that he was unaware of everything; he had just been asked to take the bag from the dustbin. But during this chase, Bubun found that the biker had a unique tattoo on his hand, and it felt like it was known to Bubun somehow.

A Sleepless Night and a Morning Discovery

Mr. Roy did not get his son and also lost his money. Bubun was also very much disappointed and night could not able to sleep, he was in deep thought about where he had seen the tattoo initially. Suddenly, he felt somehow that day morning, also he saw that tattoo.

Morning, Bubun was sitting on their balcony. Suddenly, the garbage cleaner came in front of their house to take their regular garbage. Suddenly, the tattoo on his elbow flashed in Bubun’s eyes. The garbage cleaner also had eye contact with Bubun and, suddenly throwing the dustbin, he started running. Bubun also chased behind him and was able to catch him after a long chase. Due to the previous day’s incident, Mr. Das, the local OC, kept one constable in front of Bubun’s house in civil dress. He also ran behind them and informed the police. The police reached the place where Bubun was able to catch the man. The police caught that person and came to know, he had kidnapped Mr. Roy’s kid. The money was also retrieved from his house, and the kid also found it from a godown.

A Hero’s Recognition

Mr. Roy was very happy to get back his kid and was thankful to Bubun. The local councillor came to Bubun’s house in the evening to thank him and also assured him that nominate Bubun’s name for the child bravery award of the year. It was a great feeling for Bubun and his family as Mr. Roy got his kids back.
