Autobiography Of A Laptop
I began my life with broken pieces. They were all my friends, each with a different name (chip, motherboard, screen, keyboard, touchpad, and more). Without even one piece, I wouldn’t be complete. We were all combined, and there I was born. Next, I was transported to an electrical shop. The shopkeeper named me ‘Asus.’ There were many friends of mine who looked just like me. We waited for our owner to buy us, and one cloudy morning, a girl named Tia bought me. I felt happiness when I met my beautiful owner, but I also felt sad leaving my friends at the store.
We reached her house, which was huge. She also had a puppy, Charlie, who looked really cute. Tia took really good care of me; she would clean me every day and charge me on time. She used me for many purposes like office meetings, family calls, chatting, and much more. Everything was going well, but one fine day, Tia went to the washroom, leaving a glass of water next to me. Suddenly, her puppy jumped on the table, spilling all the water on me.
By the time Tia came back, the water had entered me. Tia was freaked out. First, she removed the glass of water, then tried drying me in the sun, leaving me out for a while. I was dry on top but not inside, and she knew that. Later, she took me to a mechanical shop where they removed the water from inside. However, I wasn’t as good as before. I would get stuck between meetings and calls, suddenly turn off, and even my charging would not be fast.
She was disappointed in me and started to search for an exchange with my friends. Tomorrow is the day I will be exchanged for the new updated ‘Asus Pro.’ I am happy for Tia, but I am really attached to her. I feel like crying, but I am not because I am strong.
“Ting-Tong,” the doorbell rang. She went and opened the door, took the new laptop, and I was given away to the courier boy, who checked me and took me away from Tia. Next, I was sent to a workshop where I was disassembled into small pieces, and the parts with problems were replaced with good ones. Yay! I was given life again. This began a new journey in my life.
