Aeroplane travel: where would we be without it?
Aeroplane travel: where would we be without it? From Europe to Australia, there really is only one way to do it.

Last week I just returned from a long trip to Australia and back. Well, it was a bit tiring however I was delighted to learn that I made it just in time for a very important event that I could not have afforded to miss. This made me imagine my life, or rather our lives without aeroplanes and air travel facilities. How would you travel, if not by air?
Why Air Travel is best way to travel
1. Time Saving
Firstly, I believe that the best way to travel across long distances is to travel by air because it takes less time.
2. Easy Travel
As I said earlier, I returned back just in time for the all- important event of my sister’s wedding which I think is almost impossible with any other means of transport.
3. Saves Time
Also, I have seen that most of the travellers travel due to work. The Global Airlines had published a report saying that 68% of the air travellers travel due to work needs. I was in the USA for an officemeeting and around 50 more people were travelling with me for the same event. This means that more people can travel around the world at the same time meaning that there is more fuel efficiency.
Fundamentally I think that air travel is the best way to travel because it has high speed as well as minimum cost. For office workers and leisure travellers travelling by aeroplanes is reliable and convenient.
4. Best Services
The traveller knows that their money will not go in vain and they will receive the best service according to the money they spent. Also, I believe that the fact that 95% of air companies provide options for the travellers to choose how they would like to travel. They offer options according to cost, comfort and opinion. Big company owners or officers can travel in specialised areas of the plane such as Business and First Class whereas a family who is travelling for leisure can choose to travel in the Normal Class plane as they would like to spend more money at the place that they are going to. Not only in terms of money, you can choose to buy a plane ticket according to the time it takes and your priority to reach the place in time. Where would we be without this ease of travel?
1. Global warming
Although many people would argue that travelling by plane increases global warming, pollution and carbon footprint. For example, an average high-speed plane pollutes the air 10 to 50 more times than an electric train.
2. Risk and less space
Also, many would argue that planes crash so, the security and safety that air companies offer is really low. Other than a risk of crashing, most planes have cramped leg space and the seats are also not very comfortable in somecases.
3. Delays

Not only inside the plane, even before and after boarding, the traveller always has the worry of delays and not reaching on time and problems of jetlag when travelling distances across oceans.
4. Luggage allowance

Moreover, there is less luggage allowance and there is also a dilemma of passports and getting visas before you can travel in the plane with the high-cost ticket you paid for.
My View
So, perhaps aircraft travel is not so perfect as we thought? Wrong. Even though there are so many problems about travelling by plane, most people would say that it is the most feasible way of travelling because it is fast, convenient and easy. Travelling long distances by any other means of transport such as water is not safe, more dangerous and not comfortable. Travelling by land would need you to get allowances from the countries that you pass through and it is not very feasible, is it? This still makes me think about my life, or rather our lives without aeroplanes and air travel facilities. How would you travel, if not by air? Oh, and by the way, you can forget your sister’s wedding.
