A Marketplace

With dust filling the beautiful sun-kissed sky and sweepers paving their way through the trash lying on the silent streets of the market, the market came alive. With noise from shutters occupying the silent streets and trucks unloading goods, the market was dressed up to welcome its potential customers for the day. The honking and banging of cars lit up the dull streets.

Bargaining became the name of the game as both eager customers and persuasive vendors engaged in debates to reach a satisfactory deal. The hustle and bustle in the lines accurately reflected the intensity of the market’s crowded atmosphere. Cars were carelessly parked, occupying every available space in an unorganized manner. Children, filled with excitement, calmly begged their mothers for toys, treats, and various other delights. Among the bustling shoppers, pickpockets lurked, skillfully extracting valuables from the unsuspecting pockets of innocent buyers.

The activity within the shops added to the playful atmosphere. Shopkeepers swept their storefronts, ensuring a clean and inviting entrance. Doors and shutters opened, revealing the hidden treasures within. The shelves were arranged, displaying the finest wares in an enticing manner. Cloth sellers were engrossed in showcasing their best outfits, arranging them with care to capture the attention of passersby. The air was filled with the prayers chanted by shopkeepers, seeking blessings for their businesses.

The aroma of sizzling oil spread through the market, inviting hungry souls to explore the world of delectable dishes. Food sellers worked diligently, protecting their mouth-watering creations from the unwelcome presence of houseflies. Heaps of unattended waste, used paper plates, and cups lay scattered, forgotten by the hurried shoppers. Cats and dogs scavenged for fallen food, finding sustenance in the market’s leftovers.

The market adorned itself with multiple lights. Shopkeepers bid good night to their precious shops, securing their treasures for another day of business. Homeless people lay in search of a clean and sheltered place to spend the night within the market’s boundaries. The streets were filled with trash left behind by people, making them lifeless and silent, like a graveyard.
