A day without Mobile Phones

Mobile Phone Vanished

My family and I woke up in the morning like any other usual day, only to realise there was nothing usual about this day.

Our mobile phones had vanished and were nowhere to be seen.

Detox Fairy

We initially thought there was a robbery but when we stepped out to collect milk from the milk basket at the gate, we found a note there that our phones had been taken away by a fairy named Detox Fairy.

The day started with Papa looking confused that he couldn’t swipe news and he even tried swiping on the TV.

Mumma said, “Let me make a make a new dish. I have seen an interesting recipe on Instagram,” but then exclaimed “Oh boy! The fairy is giving us a tough time. Let me recollect and it’s time to test my memory.”

Perfect Food

Food was served and the flavours turned out to be just perfect. Slurp! We had some nice food.

With the early morning challenges faced, I soon reached school only to find out it was a holiday. I shouted “Yayyyyy!!!” excitedly while Papa shouted “Grrrrr” in annoyance.  It was a contrast of emotions. Soon we were back home.

A Happy Day

We thought it was fine for a day and let’s instead use the time productively.

I didn’t get to watch my favourite videos but built a Lego car with my sister which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

My pet dog was happy too, and I am sure his tail would have hurt at the end of the day after the constant wagging.

It was a day when everything went topsy-turvy and was funny too.

We ended the day with lots of laughter and happiness and a great story to share with you all.

The next morning, along with milk and our phones we found a note in the same milk basket saying

“You guys rock! No cap!”

Love,

Detox Fairy
