A Neighbourhood Christmas House Decorating Contest
Christmas is a season of joy and love. To celebrate this festive spirit, our neighbourhood organised a Christmas House Decorating Contest. All the houses were beautifully decorated with colourful lights, stars, and Christmas trees. Each Home looked bright and cheerful, spreading happiness to everyone who passed by.
I also participated in the competition with my family. We decorated our house using fairy lights, a Christmas tree, wreaths, bells, candles, ribbons, stocking, and handmade decorations to decorate my house. We also designed a Christmas message wall when neighbours could write happy wishes. We created a glowing pathway using decorated paper bags with lights inside. We worked together and enjoyed every moment. It made us feel happy and proud of our efforts.
Families worked together to decorate their houses using creative ideas. Some used eco- friendly decorations, while others added music and handmade ornaments. The judges visited each house and judged them on creativity, neatness and festive spirit. They announced the winners at the end. I did not win the contest, but I enjoyed participating and decorating my house with my family. I learnt the joy of teamwork and sharing happiness with others.
