If Fear Did Not Exist I Poem By Janisha

If Fear Did Not Exist

If fear did not exist,
The world would roar without restraint –
No quiet prayers, no whispered pleas,
No trembling hands beneath the paint.

The climbers would not taste the height,
For risk would hold no meaning then.
The warriors would not know the fight,
Nor poets bleed through paper and pen.

If fear was gone – erased, undone
We’d walk on fire and call it fun.
We’d love too quick, we’d lose too slow,
And never learn how deep hearts go.

For fear is the pause before the dive,
The breath that makes the fall alive.
It draws the line between dream and dare,
Between blind pride and self-aware.

Without it, trust would never weigh,
No promise made would learn to stay.
We’d build our towers, gold and high,
But never stop to ask us why.

Fear is not the end of flight,
It is the dark that shapes the light.
It is the echo in the chest,
The reason peace can feel like rest.

It breaks our knees before the climb,
But teaches rhythm, peace and time.
It makes the brave worth writing down,
For not all kings deserve a crown.

If fear did not exist, my friend,
Perhaps we’d rise – and never bend.
But I suspect the stars would fade,
And courage die in the light it made.

For fear and hope are born as twins-
One pulls us back, one drags us in.
And life –
Life stands trembling in between,
Where all the truest things have been.
