The Race: Thrilling Biking Adventure

The Great Biking Marathon

Suzan wore her helmet and biked off to St. Peter’s Road. It was the day she had been waiting for all month – The Great Biking Marathon. She had prepared for this all month. Today was the big day. She entered Central London Park and noticed the roads were slushy. As she reached the starting line, she felt her heart sink.

Her archenemy, John, was in the race too.

Even as she watched, he smirked at her. Suzanne bristled, but steeled herself. She was going to win this race. As soon as the judge blew his whistle, John shot off, nearly breaking the judge’s neck. Suzan began pedalling too, but slower than John. Go faster, go faster, she urged herself. Slowly, she began to gain on John until she was by his. John leaned over to her, meaning to push her, but fell onto the slushy road.

Helping Others

Instead of laughing meanly and continuing the race, she braked and helped John back onto his bike, then mounted her own bike. By then, two other cyclists had overtaken her, but she overtook her friends with ease. She came 1st and got a gold medal. As a celebration of her winning the race, she threw a wild party at a trampoline park, including John. They had a great time playing jumping contests. When John asked her the secret to winning, she said it was because she had practised a lot. After they became tired, they ate at a nearby cafe and they went home. It was the best day ever.
