A conversation between King Thistle and Needleino
Once upon a time, in the Sewing Land, a King Thistle lived with his army of needles. One day, Granny Mischief bought a stylish robe. But, the robe had a tear. It was time for King Thistle to put a needle to work. He decided to send Needleino, the laziest needle of them all.
“Time to get to work, Needleino”, said King Thistle.
Needleino, who was fast asleep, woke up with a start.
He yawned and said,” Work, what work?”
“You have to stitch Granny Mischief’s robe”, replied King Thistle.
“I can’t do this”, said Needleino, “Miss Thread has gone on a vacation.”
King Thistle knew that Needleino was the laziest of them all. But, he was determined to get Needleino to do his work. “We have the substitute, Miss Thread, who has come in time to sew the robe! King Thistle exclaimed, “Go with her and finish sewing the robe”.
Needleino yawned, marching with the substitute Miss Thread to Mischiefhaven Castle. He stitched and stitched. When he was done, he ate a meal of needle noodles and fell fast asleep.
