Children’s day

It was calm weather. I was very excited as tomorrow was Children’s Day. That, with also a competition held in a school. In this competition all the students had to show their talent in front of the school principal and judges.Me and my friends decided to sing a song together in a group. One of my friends will play the piano and me and my other friend will sing together in a tune.

As I reached home my friends and I did a video call to discuss and finalise the song which we will sing. So after some discussion for 10-20 minutes I decided to do the songs : Wavin Flag and Wellerman. We also wrote the lyrics on a page so that we can practise the songs in our school.

I also thought of acting like my class teacher Gauri Kulkarni ma’am. I was feeling a little nervous. But, my mom  encouraged me to act like my class teacher. So, I practised a lot in my home to act like my class teacher. After waiting a long time, Children’s Day came.

When we reached School my friends and I started to practise the songs which we were going to sing. This competition was held on 6th floor of our school building so, we had to walk to 6th floor without a lift but using stairs. After waiting a long time we got to know that unfortunately our singing was cancelled. We were very upset as are group singing was cancelled. Also my acting like a class teacher was also cancelled.

I reached home in an upset mood. But I was happy as my mother decorated the house with the theme of Children’s Day. She also called some of the friends so that I can enjoy and be happy. She also made a lovely card for me. This was the best children’s day I have ever experienced. Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day every year with enthusiasm.
