GRATITUDE IN LOCKDOWN – Poem: A vote of thanks
In the year 2020
The world is in a lockdown
The price being paid is hefty
For making the nature frown.
In these blue times
I can see a silver lining
For always there are reasons and rhymes
To keep the stars shining.
My heart fills with gratitude
For I am safe indoor
As I understand the magnitude
I am thankful to have my family at corners four.
The skies are bluer
The sun is brighter
The birds are chirpier
The air is cleaner.
I thank the Chief Minister
Not forgetting to thank the police for their dedication
I thank the Prime Minister
And the medical personal for their medication.
