========================================================

I am going to share one of the most memorable days of my life. I got selected for the national round of the Spell Bee competition for which I visited the beautiful city of Chennai.

I started my journey by train. The workers on the train gave us very tasty food. I liked that food very much.

After an exciting and equally tiring journey of two days, we arrived at our destination.

We stepped out of the train and took a taxi to a hotel. It was not something luxurious but was good to stay. It was already nighttime so we had our dinner. The food served was very tasty.

The next day, I went to my Spell Bee competition. We took a cab to the venue. Children from many states were there. I gave my best and the competition was very challenging. I was awarded too.

It was already night by the time the competition ended. We returned, had our dinner and slept.

The next day, we had our breakfast and then took a taxi for sightseeing. It was exciting.

First, we went to a rose garden. It was very beautiful. There were different colors of roses like white, red, pink, yellow etc. It took about 45 minutes for us to see all the flowers. My parents clicked photos of me.

Then we went to the chocolate factory and tea factory. We tasted the chocolates and tea there. They were very tasty. We bought a packet of chocolates.

It was already afternoon. We were very hungry. It was time for lunch. We went to a restaurant and ordered food.

The food served there was very tasty. We ate chapati, rice and chilly paneer.

Then we went to the boat house overlooking a beautiful lake. There, we took a ride on a boat. It was very big and beautiful. Many people were sitting in the boat.

In the boat, we were given life jackets. We wore that. It was a very thrilling experience. We rode for 30 minutes.

Then we went to a fair. We rode on a mini train and the most exciting experience for me was riding a horse. The horse was big and cute. There were many stalls there also.

The next day, we went to a temple. It was huge. It was very beautiful. There were many statues of gods. We prayed to the god. There were statues of Lord Shiva, Ganesh, Vishnu and many more. Many people were in the temple.

In the side, there were two big black statues of lions. That was one of the most beautiful temples I had ever seen. It took about one hour for us to see all the statues and pray. Then we returned to the hotel.

We ate lunch at the hotel. We ordered rice, dal and cauliflower curry. Then I watched TV and painted for a while. Then we ate dinner and slept.

The next day, we booked a taxi and went to the beach. There we ordered an item which was a glass filled with juicy fruits like watermelon, apples, banana and many more. We sat on the sand and I made a beautiful sand castle. That day was our last in Chennai.

After spending such a beautiful time in Chennai, it was time to travel back to Odisha. This time we traveled by flight – a faster and easier way to travel but I liked the journey by train because I enjoyed the scenic beauty of nature while traveling.

This was one of the most memorable trips of my life. Hope you all enjoyed my little travel story.
